Technical Understanding : A solid grasp of the basic principles of how websites and applications work (e.g., front-end basics, development workflows) to effectively frame design decisions within technical constraints. User Research and Usability Testing : Expertise in a variety of user research methods, including the ability to plan, conduct, synthesize, and present findings from usability tests, interviews, and other research activities. Southern Careers Institute is seeking a highly experienced and passionate Subject Matter Expert and UI / UX Design Instructor.
The ideal candidate will possess deep, practical knowledge of user-centered design principles and a proven track record of industry success to effectively guide and mentor the next generation of designers.
Key Responsibilities and Qualifications
The UI / UX Design Instructor is responsible for teaching core UI / UX concepts. Candidates must demonstrate comprehensive expertise in the following areas :
Industry Experience & User-Centered Design
- Strong Industry Experience : Significant, hands-on experience in real-world UX / UI design projects, demonstrating a deep understanding of the professional design lifecycle.
- User-Centered Design : A comprehensive understanding and ability to teach human-centric approaches to software and product design, emphasizing empathy and accessibility.
Design Tools & Technical Understanding
Research Methods & Usability
