Senior Systems Engineer

ARS is seeking a skilled Systems Engineer to support DoD / Air Force weapon systems development, sustainment, and modification programs. This role involves applying systems engineering principles to design, integrate, and deploy complex aircraft systems while ensuring compliance with operational safety, suitability, and effectiveness requirements throughout the system lifecycle. This position requires a Secret security clearance and an undergraduate degree from an ABET-accredited program.

Responsibilities include :

• Develop, procure, sustain, and modify aircraft systems, subsystems, components, and equipment
• Provide systems engineering expertise in design integration, manufacturing, quality engineering, and airworthiness
• Create and maintain critical systems engineering documentation including specifications, system requirements documents (SRDs), and systems engineering plans (SEPs)
• Translate user requirements into weapon system requirements and support prime contractor document development
• Support system and subsystem design, development, manufacturing, integration, testing, and deployment activities
• Define and maintain technical processes, identify technical requirements, and support air system / avionics development
• Conduct reviews and studies to define system requirements, performance capabilities, and interfaces
• Manage configuration management, data management, and risk management processes and plans
• Support environmental assessments, design reviews, technical interchange meetings, and program management reviews
• Identify aircraft certification requirements and assist in obtaining required certifications
• Evaluate and process spectrum certification requirements and documentation
• Participate in milestone preparation and engineering evaluations of contractor recommendations
• Support various technical reviews including SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, FCA, PCA, and PRR
• Other duties as assigned
