We're looking for an experienced, hands-on Plant Manager to lead our Fort Worth production operations. About the Role
The Plant Manager will oversee the overall operation of our manufacturing plant and ensure that all activities are coordinated effectively. They coordinate the plant's activities through production, quality control, maintenance, shipping, and receiving. They develop production schedules and make sure the plant has the necessary raw materials to meet demand. They also develop quality control procedures to ensure that finished products meet or exceed standards. The Plant Manager will be responsible for ensuring the safety of the plant's employees and for maintaining compliance with environmental regulations.
Responsibilities
Oversee daily production activities across all departments, ensure achievement of production targets, quality standards, and delivery schedules. Monitor plant performance metrics and adjust resources as needed.
Lead and coach department managers, supervisors, and staff. Promote a high-performance culture through clear goals, accountability, and continuous feedback. Support workforce planning, training, and talent development initiatives.
Drive continuous improvement through lean manufacturing methodologies. Identify and eliminate waste, bottlenecks, and inefficiencies. Lead continuous improvement events and standardization efforts.
Ensure the plant operates in compliance with OSHA and other safety / environmental regulations. Promote a zero-injury culture and lead incident investigations and corrective actions.
Manage operational budgets, control spending, and seek cost-reduction opportunities. Analyze labor, materials, and overhead costs to maintain profitability.
Work closely with Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and HR to align operational goals. Maintain open communication channels across shifts and departments.
Generate reports and dashboards on KPIs, downtime, scrap, and efficiency. Present operational updates and improvement plans as requested.
