Education :
High School graduation or equivalent. Supplemental college-level coursework in a related area is highly desirable.
Experience :
Equivalent to two (2) years of full-time work experience performing municipal code enforcement or related work, including extensive public contact.
Certification :
Certification as a Code Enforcement Officer issued by the California Enforcement Officers Association (CACEO) or by the International Code Council (ICC) is required at the time of appointment (or obtained within the 12-month probationary period) as a condition of employment.
License required :
A valid California Class C Driver's License.
Special requirement :
Requires schedule flexibility, including availability to work weekends.
Fair Labor Standards Act designation :
Non-exempt.
