CONTEXT : Our client , a Midland-based custom builder specializing in residential, commercial, industrial, and civil projects throughout the Permian Basin, is actively seeking a Project Manager.
The Project Manager will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects from pre-construction through completion. The ideal candidate will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, safely, and to the highest quality standard. This is a hands-on role, requiring excellent client interaction, strong leadership, and problem solving skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Lead and manage all phases of construction projects (residential, commercial, industrial, civil) ensuring alignment with client vision, quality standards, schedule, and budget.
- Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to define project scope, deliverables, and milestones.
- Create, maintain, and monitor project schedules; proactively identify and mitigate schedule delays.
- Manage project budgets; track costs; negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors; implement cost control measures.
- Ensure all necessary permits, inspections, codes and regulatory requirements are addressed and adhered to.
- Supervise, mentor, and coordinate team members (site supervisors / foremen / subcontractors) to maintain productivity, safety, and quality standards.
- Conduct regular site visits; enforce safety and quality control procedures.
- Communicate status, challenges, and updates to leadership and clients in a timely, transparent manner.
- Maintain documentation : change orders, daily reports, contracts, warranties, and close-out documentation.
- Uphold LMB’s values of craftsmanship, attention to detail, personalized customer service, and building lasting relationships.
QUALIFICATIONS :
5 years of project management experience in construction (residential, commercial, industrial or mixed) preferred.Strong knowledge of construction processes, building codes, materials, and regulations.Experience in budget management, scheduling software (e.g. MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent), and estimating.Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and civil drawings.Problem-solving mindset; ability to anticipate issues and resolve proactively.Detail oriented; committed to quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.Valid driver’s license; ability to travel to job sites in the Permian Basin region.
