• Must float between UNC REX and UNC Holly Springs
• Shifts are 8,10, or 12hrs based on need
• Call required based on commitment level
• Certification required

Summary :

The Surgical Technologist II - Float works under the supervision of a surgeonand registered nurse to facilitate the safe and effective conduct of invasive surgicalprocedures, ensuring that the operating room environment is safe, thatequipment functions properly, and that the operative procedure is conducted under conditions that maximize patient safety. Surgical technologistspossess expertise in the theory and application of sterile and aseptictechnique and combine the knowledge of human anatomy, surgical procedures, andimplementation tools and technologies to facilitate a physician's performance of invasive therapeutic and diagnostic procedures. Performs surgical scrub dutiesacross multiple hospitals and service lines within UNC Health consistent withshift commitment and service line competency.
