This is an extraordinary opportunity for an experienced Design Director in the luxury hospitality industry. Join an in-house design team where you’ll work closely with top award-winning designers and team members while leading incredible design projects. This is an exciting chance to live in Las Vegas while also traveling internationally for certain projects.

Responsibilities

Lead the execution of design intent through interior design documentation, coordination, and site supervision; oversee work of others or perform duties directly.

Guide internal and peer consultant team members in the development and interdisciplinary coordination of all design documents and specifications, ensuring high-quality design representation for the entire project team, owner / operator, and general contractor.

Provide creative and technical input throughout design phases to ensure buildability and feasibility of design ideas; maintain understanding of the client’s portfolio, techniques, tools, principles, and history.

Develop and manage all design documentation from conceptual design through construction administration, including field reviews and submittal / shop drawings.

Provide total quality assurance of design documentation, ensuring accuracy of design intent, documentation standards, material and method competency.

Review, prepare, and coordinate with the VP, Design and team on FF&E budgets and estimates.

Produce and coordinate design output using CAD / hand drawings of floor plans, elevations, sections, ceilings, details, and specifications.

Monitor deliverables and progress; engage in status-report dialogue with Project Managers to align resources with project schedules and budgets.

Lead internal design reviews and charrettes to provide creative and technical input across all stages.

Serve as liaison between the Project Manager and external consultant designers to communicate design intent.

Coordinate with the Architect of Record to ensure design intent is accurately incorporated and coordinate corrections with AOR and design teams.

Qualifications

Five-Year Bachelor / Professional Degree in Architecture or Interior Architecture from an accredited institution.

Minimum of 10-15 years of design, documentation, and project management experience with leading design organizations, including 5-7 years in international luxury hospitality and / or entertainment-related projects with global 5-Star developers / brands.

A portfolio of work demonstrating abilities.

Recent (within the past 24 months) significant resort hospitality projects with field and project closeout experience.

Expert proficiency in Adobe InDesign / Photoshop, AutoCAD 2018 or newer, Bluebeam or Adobe Acrobat, hand sketches, Microsoft Office suite, and space planning.

Proficiency in AutoDesk FormIt, Enscape, Master-planning, Microsoft Project / Primavera, Procore / BIM360 / PlanGrid / Similar, Revit 2018 or newer, SketchUp, Spexx or equivalent.
