Veterinary Assistant Job Responsibilities

As a Veterinary Assistant in our Concord location, you will :

Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with exams, wellness visits, and sick pet care

Perform venipuncture, surgical preparation, dental support, and patient handling

Communicate with pet parents to ensure exceptional client service

Provide compassionate, Fear Free, force-free handling for every patient

Maintain clean, safe, and organized veterinary workspaces

Support a positive, team-first culture across the care center

Qualifications

3+ years of hands-on experience in a veterinary assistant or veterinary technician support role

Skilled in venipuncture, surgical / dental assistance, and patient exams

Passion for Fear Free and low-stress handling practices

Tech-savvy and adaptable in a fast-paced veterinary environment

Strong communicator and dependable team player

Committed to learning, growth, and delivering excellent veterinary care
