- 8618 Executive TeamReporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this position is responsible for providing leadership and sound financial governance, including planning, organizing and directing programs and services consistent with the Kaweah Health’s strategic plan and goals. This position establishes growth opportunities, goals and plans and drives effective implementation to improve commercial growth in the short term and establish effective growth / business models consistent with healthcare reform. This position is accountable to County, State and Federal agencies in addition to other external regulatory agencies for maintaining compliance with applicable laws, regulations and standards. In addition, this position is responsible for effective marketing services that build volume and revenue, and positions the organization as a premier provider of health care services.QUALIFICATIONSEducation Required : Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or other related field. Preferred : Master’s degree Experience Required : Five years of progressively responsible corporate development experience, preferably in a healthcare environment. Knowledge / Skills / Abilities Knowledgeable in regulatory requirements : Federal, State, Title XXII, The Joint Commission, and California Department of Public Health. Demonstrated skills in developing a collaborative team approach within areas of responsibility. Excellent interpersonal skills to relate effectively with all levels within the organization, the community and with external firms and agencies. High degree of analytical ability and ability to forecast projects and long-range goals; strong financial acumen, highly skilled in analyzing and quantifying healthcare financial and market data. Proven record in business development with demonstrated ability to translate and communicate strategic plans into tactical goals.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Essential STRATEGIC PLAN OPPORTUNITIES AND IMPLEMENTATION : Leads in the development of the strategic plan and planning process, including strategic planning for existing internal services. Responsible for integration of the strategic plan into the organization, including the governing board, management, employees, and physician base using varied communication mechanisms and programs. Assesses and develops strategic business opportunities and expansion of existing services within the Kaweah Health’s primary and secondary service areas. Responsible for creating an integrated delivery system across the continuum of care and market consolidation opportunities. This may include the evaluation of potential mergers, acquisitions, and joint venture opportunities. Identifies and evaluates information and trends within the local and regional healthcare economy and competitive organizations and develops strategies to respond to these trends. Informs the CEO and Board of Directors of current and competitive forces in the marketplace. COST EFFECTIVE OPERATIONAL POLICIES & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT : Actively pursues business development activities in coordination with Vice Presidents and Directors. Acts as a liaison between medical groups and the Kaweah Health for Managed Care, operational and business development activities and opportunities (i.e. Utilization Review, Case Management, Personnel etc.). Increases market presence by developing and maintaining relationships with insurance, employer and physician communities. MAINTAINS EFFECTIVE MARKETING PROGRAM : Plans, organizes, directs and monitors an effective marketing program that builds volume and revenue, and position the organization as a premier provider of health care services. Coordinates marketing, social media, and media relations activities throughout the organization.PATIENT EXPERIENCE & COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT : Leads efforts to enhance the quality of patient interactions by monitoring feedback, resolving service issues, and implementing improvements that elevate satisfaction and strengthen trust. Maintains community involvement to a high degree in order to provide knowledge of trends in the community and competitive knowledge in the market INTERNAL CONSULTING : Develops and maintains an internal consulting team to support business activities across the organization. PHYSICIAN RECRUITMENT AND RELATIONS : Oversees a comprehensive physician recruitment and relations strategy that helps ensure that the medical needs of the community are met. HOSPITAL FOUNDATION : Ensures that Kaweah Health Hospital Foundation has the administrative support and leadership to be successful. Additional Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and services appropriate to the population served on the assigned unit or work area.
