General Description

The Floor Care Technician is responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary environment by properly maintaining floor surfaces. Prior knowledge of chemical safety and maintenance is beneficial. Employee can perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

Essential Functions

• Clean floors in offices hallways and stairwells by sweeping and mopping and operating floor care equipment such as automatic scrubbers floor machines carpet machines and wet / dry vacuums
• Properly use chemicals to properly maintain floor surfaces
• Dispose of trash and debris at job sites properly
• Uses knowledge of chemical safety to maintain chemicals and supplies on site
• Maintain positive client relations by displaying professionalism
• Use timekeeping system keys and security codes.
• Report any needed supplies and equipment repairs to the supervisor along with any potential hazards
• Complete non-routine / emergency cleaning as specified by work orders
