Edith Lane is looking to add a STNA scheduler to our team!
The Scheduler is responsible for coordinating and managing staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage for patient care needs. While the primary function is scheduling, candidates who are State Tested Nursing Assistants (STNAs) are strongly preferred, as this experience provides valuable insight into staffing requirements and patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly schedules for nursing staff.
- Ensure compliance with staffing ratios and regulatory requirements.
- Communicate schedule changes promptly to staff and supervisors.
- Track attendance, call-offs, and arrange replacements as needed.
- Collaborate with nursing leadership to forecast staffing needs.
- Maintain accurate records for payroll and reporting purposes.
- Respond to staff inquiries regarding scheduling in a timely manner.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; healthcare-related coursework preferred.Previous experience in scheduling or healthcare administration strongly desired.STNA certification preferred but not required.Proficiency in scheduling software and Microsoft Office Suite.Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.Preferred Skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.Familiarity with state regulations for long-term care staffing.Experience in conflict resolution and team coordination.
