Job Summary for Registered Nurse – MiraVista Behavioral Health Center
\n
\n- Provide direct and indirect nursing care to adult and adolescent inpatients with psychiatric and substance use disorders.
\n- Participate actively as a member of the healthcare team, contributing to the development, implementation, and documentation of individualized treatment plans.
\n- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment in accordance with organizational core principles.
\n- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to support patient-centered care.
\n- Float between units and take charge as needed (no additional pay for charge duties).
\n- Use critical thinking and crisis management skills to manage stressful situations and de-escalate crises.
\n- Apply trauma-informed and recovery-oriented nursing practices.
\n- Develop therapeutic relationships with patients while maintaining professional boundaries.
\n- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff, both verbally and in writing.
\n- Utilize electronic medical record systems for documentation and care coordination.
\n- Delegate, coach, and support team members to ensure high quality care delivery.
\n- Participate in ongoing staff training and adhere to safety, CPR, and restraint reduction protocols.
\n- Support MiraVista’s mission to provide compassionate and effective care for those with psychiatric and co-occurring substance use disorders.
\n
\n Requirements :
\n- Current MA Registered Nurse license (required).
\n- Minimum one year of adult / adolescent inpatient psychiatric experience.
\n- CPR certification required.
\n- Experience in restraint reduction, de-escalation, and crisis intervention preferred.
\n- Willingness to work every other weekend / evening shifts and holidays, float between units, and take charge as needed.
\n- Strong critical thinking, time management, and teamwork skills.
\n- BSN preferred.
\n
