Position Summary : We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive Billing Specialist to lead our receivables function with precision and accountability. The ideal candidate will take full ownership of the Billing Lifecycle—from invoicing to collections—ensuring timely payments, clear communication with customers, and full compliance with trade credit insurance policies. Experience in the seed industry and familiarity with AR insurance are strongly preferred.

Job Responsibilities :
- Monitor and manage all customer accounts for balances and aging.
- Track and maintain detailed records of past-due accounts.
- Send out payment reminders and statements ahead of due dates.
- Conduct regular follow-ups with the sales staff and customers on overdue invoices.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for billing-related customer inquiries.
- Communicate professionally and diplomatically with customers to resolve payment disputes or billing issues.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with customer accounts payable departments.
- Generate and mail hard-copy invoices and statements as needed.
- Receive and accurately record customer payments (checks, ACH, wires).
- Prepare and process bank deposits in a timely and secure manner.
- Manage the company’s AR portfolio in accordance with the credit insurance policy.
- Monitor credit limits, overdue risk exposure, and claims filing requirements.
- Coordinate with the credit insurance company to ensure ongoing eligibility and compliance with covered accounts.
Job Expectations :
Prepare AR aging reports and present weekly updates to management.Assist with month-end close activities, including account reconciliations and audit support.Collaborate with the sales and logistics teams to resolve invoicing discrepancies or credit adjustments.Education :
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business, or related field required.3+ years of experience in accounts receivable, preferably in agriculture, seed distribution, or a seasonal inventory-based industry.Prior experience working with credit insurance is highly preferred.Proficient in JD Edwards and Microsoft Excel.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially over the phone.Strong organizational and follow-up skills, with keen attention to detail.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced office environment.Comfortable working on-site and full-time in Chualar, CA.Qualifications :
Experience handling seasonal AR cycles and agriculture-related clients.Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus.Familiarity with sales order, logistics, and fulfillment processes related to AR.
