Skilled Nursing Facility, Home Care, and Outpatient roles are available in Newport News, Kilmarnock, Hampton, Glouster, and Yorktown, VA!

Essential Job Duties :

Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist.

Conduct therapeutic activities and exercises to help patients achieve their goals.

Monitor patients' progress and provide feedback to the Occupational Therapist.

Educate patients and their families on techniques and strategies for improving daily activities and overall quality of life.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and progress.

Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain a clean and organized therapy environment.

Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic patient care.

Qualifications and Requirements :

Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapist Assistant program.

Current state licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapist Assistant.

Knowledge of occupational therapy principles, techniques, and practices.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Empathetic and patient-centered approach to care.

Ability to assist and lift patients as needed.

The capability to perform physical tasks and stand for an extended period
