Pipe Fitter / Welder

Job Summary / Objective :

The Pipe Welder will be responsible for welding, cutting, and brazing metal components using various welding techniques, including flame-cutting and hand-welding equipment.

The role requires proficiency in a variety of welding processes and the ability to work with both carbon and stainless steel pipes.

Key Duties and Responsibilities :

• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications to ensure accurate welds (minimum 1-2 years of experience required).
• Use measuring tools (e.g., tape measure, level, squares) to verify dimensions and ensure precision.
• Weld using GTAW (TIG), GMAW (MIG), and FCAW processes, with at least 2-5 years of experience in these techniques.
• Work with schedule 10 and schedule 40 carbon and stainless steel piping, ranging from 3" to 24" in diameter.
• Utilize positioners and other tools to support welding on piping.
• Inspect and assess welds for quality, strength, and safety compliance.
• Weld in various positions, including 1G, 5G, and 6G.
• Follow all safety protocols and enforce safety standards on-site.
• Operate welding machinery and monitor its temperature and usage to ensure optimal performance.
• Safely operate an overhead crane for material handling.

Required Skills and Abilities :

Must have FCAW (Flux-cored Arc Welding) and GMAW (MIG welding) certification
