Department Overview
The Marketing Division is responsible for the sales and retention of new and existing group accounts, maintenance and service of such accounts and upgrading of business to these accounts. It is also responsible for individual, senior products and long term care sales and retention. Sales and product support involve the entire scope of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama coverage, including health, dental, long term care, life and account-based products. The Marketing Division is also responsible for product development and management, product profitability, advertising, direct marketing, marketing communications and marketing research and development.
Primary Responsibilities
The Marketing Communications Specialist I is responsible for developing, creating, preparing, evaluating and presenting communication materials required to effectively educate existing and prospective groups, group members and / or direct consumers about Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama products and services. These efforts will support corporate goals and objectives as well as the specific requester's objectives, while addressing the needs and concerns of the audience. All Marketing Communications' materials must be produced in a timely and cost effective manner that maintains and / or enhances our corporate image.
