SKILL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Previous experience in theatrical, event or exhibition lighting required.
- Knowledge of basic electrical practice required.
- Knowledge of standard lighting materials, methods and practices.
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following :
Prep and focus lighting instruments for exhibitionsMaintain gallery lighting, lighting inventory and lighting control systemDe-install, clean, repair and store lighting equipmentWORK DEMANDS and ENVIRONMENT :
Must be able to operate and / or work on ladders, scaffolding, and in scissor liftsAbility to work nights, weekends, and occasional holidaysAbility to lift at least 25lbs.Occasionally work may be conducted outdoors, exposure to varied weather conditions.Ability to travel within the metropolitan area as required to perform the above duties at any of the Guggenheim’s owned or leased properties upon request.EDUCATION :
High School Diploma or equivalent requiredBachelor’s degree preferredCERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS :
