Description
We’re looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented Machine Setup Specialist to join our 1st shift team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for setting up, changing, and maintaining stamping dies, troubleshooting equipment, and ensuring efficient production. Demonstrate proficiency with the use of automatic equipment, forklifts, and overhead cranes. Job Responsibilities & Requirements
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Setup manufacturing machinery and stamping dies in presses.
- Perform tooling changes according to production schedules.
- Conduct simple troubleshooting and minor tool and die repairs to keep production on schedule.
- Perform required basic preventative maintenance on machinery and dies.
- Monitor press, tooling and secondary systems for proper operation during manufacturing.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures.
- Attendance at work during the regularly scheduled shift is an essential duty. This includes but is not limited to the ability to work overtime as required, be present at work, arrive on time and be at the workstation ready for work at the start of the shift.
SKILLS & ABILITIES :
Education and / or Experience : High School Diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Language Skills : Effectively communicate with co-workers and management regarding work and safety issues.Mathematical Skills : Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.Reasoning Ability : Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Comprehend job training and safety instructions.Computer Skills : Some PC skills helpful, but not requiredOther Skills and Abilities : Read a tape measure and use hand tools.Other Qualifications : Previous forklift experience preferred but not required.MITEK PERKS :
