A Product Manager - Digital - Connected Products is responsible for digital experiences tied to Hunter’s connected products – including mobile apps, software platforms, or digital services. The Digital Product Manager ensures these experiences drive customer satisfaction, deepen product engagement, and support long-term value through app-based features, usage analytics, and over-the-air updates.

Key Responsibilities :

Product Strategy & Vision

Define the product vision and roadmap aligned with business goals.

Champion Hunter’s digital ecosystem strategy across mobile, voice assistants, and smart home platforms like Matter.

Identify opportunities to expand recurring value through software features (e.g., automation, firmware updates, diagnostics).

User-Centered Design

Represent the voice of the user through research, personas, and usability testing.

Prioritize features based on user value and business impact.

Drive improvements to onboarding, setup, and in-app education to reduce time-to-value and enhance retention.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with engineering, design, marketing, sales, and customer support.

Partner with hardware PMs to ensure seamless digital-to-physical integration and pre-launch readiness.

Act as a liaison between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.

Backlog & Feature Management

Write and prioritize user stories and manage the product backlog.

Define acceptance criteria and ensure quality and relevance of releases.

Translate voice of customer into app features that enhance utility across multiple product types (e.g., fan, plug, dimmer).

Performance Tracking

Use analytics tools to track product performance (e.g., engagement, retention, conversion). Leverage in-app usage data and device telemetry to identify friction points and inform product improvements.

Iterate and optimize the product based on data and feedback.

Launch & Go-to-Market

Coordinate rollout of app updates in alignment with hardware release cycles and channel availability.

Partner with Marketing to drive awareness and education around new smart features and app updates.

Key Success Metrics :

of active HunterSMART users per product line

Feature adoption within 30 days post-setup

Reduction in support tickets via app-based control or automation

of connected devices reporting usage data

Education / Experience Requirements

4 year college degree with a marketing or business concentration. MBA preferred.

5 years experience in product or digital marketing

Proven experience managing digital products (web, mobile, SaaS)

Special qualifications or skills

Leadership / Entrepreneur Mentality

Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)

Able to work cross functionally

Highly organized with strong on time management and meeting deadline skills

Strong analytical and KPI development capabilities
