Position Overview
Technology Designer II leads the technology design effort to produce construction documents for the assigned technology scope which includes but is not limited to Communications Security and Audio Visual (AV) systems.
Responsibilities
- Use Revit to produce drawings for a variety of projects
- Prepare and lay out BIM drawings ensuring coordination with all other disciplines at all phases of project production including schematic design design development permitting and construction documents
- Perform Construction Administration (CA) duties such as responding to Submittals and RFIs
- Communicate status on projects evolving and revisiting workflows as necessary to maintain project efficiencies
- Maintain accurate time tracking in the project management system
- May attend meetings with designers and engineers architects owners code officials / AHJ and other construction professionals
- Perform site visits and create site report documentation
- Miscellaneous duties as assigned
Qualifications
Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States and ideally based in Orlando or Tampa Florida Houston or Dallas TexasAt least 2-5 years of professional experience as a technology designer of commercial buildings preferably in aviation higher education health care hospitality entertainment or governmental facilitiesRCDD certification strongly preferredPrior low-voltage technology experience preferredAdvanced Revit MEP proficiency requiredHighly proficient technical / computer skills including Microsoft O365 (Outlook Work Excel) internet and web applicationsExcellent communication interpersonal and presentation skillsSkills & Competencies
