We are seeking a Payroll Specialist for a professional services firm. This role is responsible for processing payroll, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with payroll regulations. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a solid understanding of payroll processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Process payroll for multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Verify payroll data and resolve any discrepancies.
- Maintain payroll records and update employee information as needed.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
- Address payroll-related inquiries regarding deductions and tax withholdings.
- Assist with payroll reporting, audits and process improvements.
- Provide payroll-related support to the accounting team.
Requirements
Associates degree in accounting or a related field.2+ years of payroll experience.2+ years in a customer-facing position.Proficiency in Excel and payroll software, with the ability to learn new systems.Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Stable work history and ability to pass a background check.Compensation
