Job Duties & Responsibilities

Create new NC programs using Siemens NX CAM software
Edit / modify existing NC programs
Create simple 3D solid process models using NX CAD
Design work holding / fixturing, as needed, with assistance from Manufacturing Engineering
Identify and apply appropriate tooling based on material types, equipment considerations, cutting conditions, etc.
Maintain tooling database

Skills & Abilities

Demonstrated knowledge of CNC programming.

Ability to program both mills and lathes.

Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of machine code (G & M code)

Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings required

Demonstrated knowledge of GD&T

Ability to learn and apply CAD / CAM software for programming.

Strong communication and organizational skills

Ability to communicate with machinists to resolve program issues

Superior time management skills

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of programming experience in a metal cutting / machining environment

Minimum 3 years of experience with CAD / CAM software

Siemens NX preferred but not required

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, or other technical discipline preferred; suitable experience will be considered in lieu of educational preferences

Physical Requirements

This position is an office / factory hybrid role

Ability to lift 35 pounds unassisted

Indoor office & factory environment. Sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting are common

Compensation Details : Annual Salary : $70,000.00 - $90,000.00

Additional Compensation : Salary Range for this position : $70K-90K (the salary offered will be determined based on the applicant's education, experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, and will be compared with internal equity along with market data for this position).
