Sr Advanced Systems Engineer

Description

The Engines and Power Systems (E&PS) Reliability Maintainability and System Safety (RMSS) Engineering organization has a need for a Sr. Systems Engineer to lead reliability and system safety engineering activities on multiple propulsion engine and APU programs.

The successful candidate will have ownership for reliability and system safety at every aspect of the systems life cycle; from the front end of business development through product end of life. You will work across disciplines within the engine and APU development teams to drive growth and reach critical business milestones.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Authoring and ensuring development process follows system safety program plans
• Reliability analysis Allocations to define requirements
• Functional hazard analysis
• Failure conditions requirements analysis
• Safety requirements decomposition
• Model based development system design
• Systems integration
• Reliability predictions throughout design process
• Failure mode effects and criticality analysis (FMECA)
• Safety requirements validation & verification
• Aftermarket safety analysis and reliability metrics tracking
• Customer interaction
• Project coordination within a team and / or leading a small team of RMSS engineers
