Job Title : Microsoft Systems Engineer

Location : Remote

Contract Duration : 6 Months

Employment Type : Contract

Position Summary :

We are seeking a highly skilled Microsoft Systems Engineer for a fully remote, 6-month contract. The successful candidate will manage enterprise-level Microsoft infrastructure, including Active Directory services, Windows Servers, and endpoint systems. This role includes patch management, performance monitoring, and Tier III escalation support for Windows environments.

Key Responsibilities :

Manage and maintain Microsoft domain environments including :
Active Directory (AD), ADFS, DNS, DHCP, GPOs, and LAPS
Perform enterprise-wide patching and updates for :
Windows OS and standard desktop / server applications
Deploy, monitor, and maintain Windows Server infrastructure to ensure performance, reliability, and scalability
Serve as Tier III escalation support for the desktop support team
Provide expert-level support for :
Windows 10 / 11
Microsoft Office deployment and troubleshooting
Collaborate with security and compliance teams to maintain system integrity
Document processes, procedures, and solutions for knowledge sharing

Required Skills & Qualifications :

5+ years of experience as a Microsoft Systems Engineer or similar role

Deep understanding of Microsoft technologies including :

AD, ADFS, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, LAPS

Hands-on experience deploying and supporting Windows 10 / 11 enterprise environments

Proven experience in Windows Server administration and monitoring

Experience with patching tools (WSUS, SCCM, Intune, or similar)

Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team

Preferred Qualifications :

Microsoft certifications (e.g., MCSA , MCSE , Microsoft 365 Certified )

Experience with Intune , SCCM , or Endpoint Manager

Familiarity with cloud-based AD (Azure AD)
