Quality Assurance Technical Services Coordinator

Headquartered in Vancouver, Washington, NJFC has been providing our nation’s discerning foodservice, retail, industrial and institutional customers with the finest quality canned and pouched products for over 50 years. NJFC operates three production facilities : Northwest Packing in Vancouver, WA.; San Benito Foods, in Hollister, CA; and Toma-Tek in Firebaugh, CA.

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Technical Services Coordinator to participate in internal and external food safety audits through inspections, related food safety document creation and review, program verification and corrective actions. Lead the trace and recall program to ensure the full traceability of SBF products and perform traces and mock recalls as required. Ensure the adequacy of recordkeeping and documentation related quality assurance documentation. Manage the plant Hold program to include maintenance of hold log, hold inventory, and dispositioning of product with assistance of Quality Supervisors. Work with in-house USDA to disposition product and participate in product cuttings. This role will be responsible for monitoring the Quality system to ensure that the system is operating effectively at our San Benito Foods plant in Hollister, CA.

Key Responsibilities :

• Assists in monthly internal audits of facility and food safety program (SQF) by performing inspection, reviewing documents, recording findings and creating corrective actions (CAPA).
• Attend and assist in 3rd party audits of the facility and provides support for internal audits of plant quality and operating documentation in order to ensure that all documents are properly submitted to other departments
• Provide backup support to the QA Leads and QA Supervisor; may act as lead or supervisor during absences and following all GMP's and enforcing them with other employees.
• Aids plant departments to assure that all documents are maintained and archived in accordance with standard operating policies and protocols and are easily retrievable by authorized personnel and manages record keeping and disposition of holds, per QA Manager's instructions.
• Become subject matter expert on traceability of all products produced at facility.

The wage range is $26.00 - $29.00, based on experience and qualifications.
