Healthcare Staffing Professionals, Inc. is looking for qualified Certified Nursing Assitants for this position working in a Psych Hospital located in San Diego, CA. Candidates will play a crucial role in providing top-notch care and support to patients with mental health conditions, working closely with the entire healthcare team to enhance patient well-being and recovery.

Pay Rate : $25 / hr

Locations : San Diego, CA

Shift : 12 hour shifts - only NOC or Weekend shifts needed

Job Duties :

  • Assist in the daily care of psychiatric patients, including personal hygiene, physical comfort, and nutrition.
  • Monitor patient conditions by observing physical and mental health, recording and reporting significant changes.
  • Provide support in therapeutic activities and interventions under the supervision of registered nurses and doctors.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of patients, adhering to hospital protocols and procedures.
  • Facilitate communication between patients and healthcare professionals, advocating for patient needs and preferences.
  • Participate in team meetings, contributing insights for improving patient care plans.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.

Qualification :

  • Active CNA certification in the state of California.
  • Previous experience in psychiatric or mental health settings is preferred but not required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • A compassionate approach to patient care, with a deep understanding of the challenges faced by individuals with mental health conditions.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, emotionally intense environment.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
