Materials Testing and Inspection Business Development Manager
Kleinfelder is seeking an externally focused Materials Testing and Inspection Business Development Manager to help drive growth throughout the San Diego Region. In this position, you will be responsible for leading business development activities for our Construction Materials Engineering and Testing service line across multiple markets, meeting with clients and teaming partners, participating in professional external organizations, identifying new opportunities, planning and positioning, preparing qualification packages, leading shortlist interviews, and working with leadership on delivering sales targets. In a nutshell, you will be the face of Kleinfelder to our clients, and you will work alongside some of the best professionals in the business.

Organize and execute sales activities consistent with Kleinfelder's annual sales plan.Ensure Kleinfelder exceeds client expectations through frequent communication with targeted clients and Kleinfelder's Construction Materials Engineering and Testing delivery teams.Identify project opportunities for new work and / or expanded services for new and established clients.Develop and maintain client relationships to identify new opportunities in additional service lines or expanded geographies.Coordinate with Kleinfelder's Construction Materials Engineering and Testing delivery and proposal marketing teams with clear and succinct communication as to the client requirements and differentiation strategy.Develop proposal strategies that utilize the Company's strengths and innovative thinking to gain a competitive advantage.Position Competencies and Requirements :
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.Able to communicate effectively with a variety of people.Customer service oriented.Excellent time management skills.Experience with CRM is highly desirable; Deltek preferred.Experience & Academic Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or construction management desired.Experience : 10+ years of related experience with 5+ years of professional marketing and / or sales experience with a consulting engineering firm or related business.
