Overview

The Boston Public Library is seeking applicants for a part - time position in the Mattapan Branch. Mature, dependable individuals are invited to apply. Daytime, evening, and weekend hours are available depending upon the needs of the department. Knowledge of one or more foreign languages is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Sorting, verifying, shifting and checking in materials.
• Shelving materials.
• Retrieving and routing items from shelves.
• Answering basic questions and referring to other staff as appropriate.
• Operating equipment such as photocopiers, microfilm readers, printers and scanners.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Minimum Entrance Qualifications

Terms : Union / Salary Plan / Grade : Nonunion / $15 per hour

Hours per week : Up to 18 hours per week
