job_description.job_card.job_descriptionAssists the Director and / or Assistant Director in the recommendation and development of financial aid office federal aid (Pell, TEACH, Work Study, and Loan) processing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal student aid regulations.Charged with staying up to date on Federal aid rules and regulationsResponsibility for training office staff on federal aid policy and office policies and processing procedures that fall within your purviewResponsible for the reconciliation of Federal Loan, Pell Grant, and TEACH grant disbursements, in collaboration with the University Finance department on a monthly basis.Responsibility for requesting, reconciling, and monitoring eligibility for state grant funds.Reviews daily loan files and works to resolve any rejected and errored loan files, as well as reviewing and correcting issues that prevent federal aid from postingEnsures that federal loan disbursement and posting dates are in alignment with federal guidelines, and makes corrections as necessaryCollaborates with the Registrar's Office on the timely reporting of enrollmentExecutes the federal loan exit counseling process at the conclusion of each semesterAssists the Assistant Director and the Director in annual system set-up for the federal aidCoordinates annual Scholarnet updates for Private loan lendersMaintains and updates the Policy and Procedure manual for federal and private student loan programsServes as the backup for Return to Title IV (R2T4) and verification functionsOther duties as assignedMinimum of three years of Student Financial Aid experienceWorking knowledge of federal student aid programsFamiliarity with Federal aid systems including FSA Partner, NSLDS, COD, and FAA AccessAttention to detailAbility to research federal aid regulations and apply critical thinking skills to apply regulationsAbility to work independently and troubleshoot issues as they arise
