Project Manager
This role offers the opportunity to influence company strategy, mentor emerging leaders, and manage impactful projects. You will work closely with ownership and upper management to shape the future of our organization.
Responsibilities include mentoring project managers and project engineers, providing feedback to leadership, preparing key individuals for advancement, collaborating with estimators, participating in bid reviews, researching potential projects, assisting with estimating processes, contributing to employee review processes, supporting future hiring efforts, hosting internal preconstruction meetings, developing project schedules, managing project scope, supporting project buyout and budget review, overseeing change management, attending weekly project meetings, managing project billings, communicating budget changes, assigning tasks to project engineers, leading project closeout activities, acting as a trusted advisor to owners and leadership, and fostering a collaborative environment.
Essential skills include 5-10 years experience as a project manager, direct experience with earthwork and underground utilities, exposure to both public and private works projects, experience in approving change orders, cost tracking, scheduling, and all primary PM responsibilities, proven experience managing multiple construction projects simultaneously, strong understanding of preconstruction, estimating, and project execution processes, excellent leadership, communication, and mentorship skills, ability to analyze budgets, manage changes, and ensure financial accountability, and familiarity with public and private sector construction projects.
Additional skills include experience with construction management, change order approval, and civil construction, knowledge in utilities, cost tracking, budgeting, and heavy civil projects, estimation and project management experience in private construction.
Work environment is 100% on site, with the office located in Washington. The work culture is family-oriented with growth potential and consistent project availability.
This is a permanent position based out of Sumner, WA. The pay range for this position is $130,000.00 - $140,000.00 / yr. Medical w / HSA program 100% employee coverage & 50% for dependents begins the first of the month after their hire date. 401K plan 3% matching (depending on company performance) starts 90 days after employment. PM 10 days PTO, PE 5 days PTO get 7 paid holidays in addition to PTO. Bonus program; this depends on the company's yearly financial performance.
