These positions are currently located in Anchorage, Bethel, Fairbanks, Homer, Juneau, Kenai, Ketchikan, Kodiak, Nome, Sitka, or Wasilla, depending upon the location of the most qualified candidate.

What you will be doing :

This Eligibility Technician 2 position joins the Division's Virtual Call Center (VCC) team under the Field Services group. Field services serve as the frontline workers whose goal is to help Alaskan families statewide reach higher levels of independence and self-sufficiency.

As an Eligibility Technician 2, you will be performing the following duties :

• Determine eligibility for a range of state and federal assistance programs, such as Medicaid, SNAP, Heating Assistance, Cash Assistance, and more.
• Interview applicants, review their financial and personal information, and apply program rules to determine their eligibility.
• Initiate authorization of benefits for services and other supports.
• Work across multiple computer interfaces.
