About the Role

United Protective Services is seeking a dependable and adaptable Flex Security Officer, also known as a Floater, to support our branch operations across multiple client locations. This role is essential in maintaining consistent coverage, service excellence, and safety standards across diverse environments.

• Provide a professional, courteous, and safety-focused presence at assigned client sites.
• Respond promptly to scheduling calls and fill open shifts as directed by management.
• Patrol premises, monitor access, and report safety or security concerns.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including activity and incident reports.
• Enforce company and client policies to ensure safe, secure environments.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, clients, and team members.
• Demonstrate reliability, adaptability, and initiative across varying site conditions.

Schedule & Requirements

Must be available 24 / 7, six (6) days per week, including Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (mandatory workdays). Required to work a minimum of 32 hours per week. Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Must hold or be eligible to obtain a Non-Commissioned (Level II) Security License issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety. Excellent communication and observation skills. Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods. Must demonstrate strong dependability, responsiveness, and professionalism. Previous security experience preferred, but not required.
