Airswift is looking for a Staff Lease / Contracts Analyst to work with a major client in The Woodlands on a 6-month assignment.

Schedule : 9 / 80

The Staff Lease and Contracts Analyst assist with the effective administration and control of all lease records processes in connection with producing and non-producing properties and interests acquired, owned, operated or purchased.

Responsibilities :

  • Analyses and inputs lease data to ensure completeness, accuracy and consistency.
  • Prepares full releases and Exhibit A's for assignments and contracts.
  • Assists with working monthly calendars for leases.
  • Assists Land Operations as requested.
  • Conducts lease / unit reviews for shut-in wells and processes payments, subject to review and approval.
  • Responsible for working monthly calendars for managing payment obligations.
  • Determines rental payments, obligations and expirations to maintain leases.
  • Resolves anomalies where possible, referring complex issues to higher levels for further attention.
  • Processes payments and billing records as a result of ownership changes due to assignments, deeds, probate, etc.
  • Reviews and makes recommendations on a monthly basis for rentals, shut-ins, minimum royalty payments and associated obligations and expirations.
  • Proficient in the ability to research private and public records, and the ability to navigate online resources.
  • Inputs extensions for non-producing leases.
  • Responds to landowner queries, working collaboratively with Land Operations and Land Administration team members to ensure effective resolution.
  • Assists Land Operations in preparing agreements as requested (e.g., pooling, communitization, Exhibits etc.).
  • Develop affiliations with local / national associations in order to take advantage of educational materials and opportunities and remain current on industry trends

Requirements :

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and willing to learn other computer applications.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills - both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational skills and detail oriented.
  • Knowledge of Quorum Land System / SAP experience a plus.
  • Ability to work under deadlines and sometimes on multiple projects.
  • Handle confidential and proprietary company data and information.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Knowledge of basic land principles and their application with the ability to analyze land data for the entry into the land data management system.
  • General understanding of land terminology, contracts and their uses with the ability to work on projects of increased complexity under general direction.
  • 2+ years relevant experience with Bachelors degree.
