Job Summary : Produce clerks are responsible for ensuring the produce department is well-stocked for our customers. S / he must assist in receiving, storing, and stocking of products while guaranteeing proper product rotation and quality. S / he must be familiar with store products and their locations in order to assist customers in locating items. As a PFM team member is able to exemplify Pete’s Four Pillars of Value, Aesthetic, Quality, and Customer Service.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Produce Team Members have the responsibility of providing all guests with exceptional customer service.
• Must ensure all service standards are frequently met and often exceed company expectations.
• They must possess the knowledge and training of how to effectively handle and stock produce products.
• Rotate and monitor quality of products and signs, stock and merchandise products in their department, build product displays, and handle product damages and credits according to company policy.
• Responsible for completing all stocking and clean-up duties in an efficient and timely manner.
• Assist with the actual store operation activities such as cleaning or hanging signs, depending upon business needs.
• Assist in back-stock, and ensure the timely return of all items.
• Other duties as assigned.

Benefits

Starting hourly rates will be no less than the local minimum wage and will vary based on things like location, experience, and qualifications. All positions are eligible for Overtime, and some positions will have guaranteed Overtime available.

Hourly rate for Suburban Stores is $15-$18

Hourly rate for City of Chicago Stores is $16.60-$18
