Shimmick is seeking a highly talented Estimating Coordinator to be based out of the Suisun City, CA office. This challenging position will provide an excellent growth opportunity while improving the infrastructure of the city.

Shimmick takes on challenging projects and performs high-quality work ranging from expanding / constructing water and wastewater treatment plants to construction of the new Gerald Desmond Bridge.

Electrical Division

Since the early 1990s, Shimmick has been self-performing electrical scopes for infrastructure projects. Shimmick offers electrical, instrumentation, and process controls expertise for water and wastewater treatment; dams and locks; mass transit and rail; alternative energy; power generation and transmission; and commercial building projects. Our ability to self-perform this specialty work offers additional value and enables us to better control cost and schedule for projects with major electrical and process mechanical scopes. Our clients include municipalities, water districts, sanitation districts, transit agencies, private developers, DOTs, and USACE.

Responsibilities

The Estimating Coordinator is responsible for supporting the estimating team in preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for construction projects. This role involves organizing bid documents, coordinating subcontractor and supplier proposals, managing bid schedules, and assisting in the overall estimating process to ensure timely and efficient bid submissions.

Additional Information :

The salary range for this position is between $60,000 - $95,000 per year depending on experience and / or education.
