We are looking for a skilled Medical Scheduler to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Bloomington, Minnesota. The ideal candidate will play a key role in coordinating patient appointments, managing communications, and ensuring seamless scheduling processes. This position requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to provide outstanding service to patients and healthcare providers.

Responsibilities :

• Handle incoming calls from patients and referring clinics to schedule appointments promptly and accurately.
• Make outbound calls to schedule appointments for patients referred to the office.
• Register new patients by collecting and verifying required demographic and personal information.
• Respond to voicemail messages and return calls in a timely and attentive manner.
• Prepare and distribute letters to patients and referring healthcare providers.
• Coordinate interpreter services for appointments as needed.
• Provide accurate information and assistance to callers regarding appointment details.
• Monitor physician schedules to ensure availability and proper coordination.
• Perform additional administrative tasks as required to support the scheduling process.
• Proven experience in patient scheduling or a similar role within a medical environment.
• Proficiency in handling inbound and outbound calls with professionalism and efficiency.
• Familiarity with managing patient demographic information and registration processes.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with attention to detail.
• Ability to assist patients and provide clear guidance regarding scheduling.
• Experience in working with call center systems or phone operations in a healthcare setting.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively.
