As Lead QA Engineer , you will be both a strategic driver of quality practices and a hands-on engineer building frameworks and tests. In a lean environment, you will partner closely with developers and product managers to ensure quality is embedded into every stage of development. You'll set direction, establish automation standards, and personally contribute to test design and implementation while mentoring others on best practices.
Responsibilities :
- Lead the development of automated testing strategies collaborating with engineering teams and product management across multiple platforms to define, implement, and optimize end-to-end testing strategies, ensuring quality standards align with business needs.
- Analyze defects, identify trends, and drive proactive quality improvements to reduce production issues.
- Drive test coverage improvements across unit, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Establish and maintain a scalable test automation framework that integrates seamlessly with CI / CD pipelines.
- Mentor engineers on writing testable code and improving quality ownership.
- Champion a culture of quality-first thinking across the team.
Qualifications
7+ years experience as a hands-on QA engineer with a focus on automation1+ years leading / mentoring junior QA engineer(s)Comprehensive knowledge of SDLCExpertise with a test automation framework like Playwright, Cypress or Selenium and test librariesExperience in API testing and microservice testing patternsStrong command of a scripting language like Python, javascript, Go, etcExperience in web-based application testing including cross-browser and mobile device compatibilityBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience preferred.This position is onsite at our Boston HQ located next to South Station.
