Job Summary
Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Facilities, responsible for performing architectural planning, design, and project management duties for the Williamson County Facilities Management department. Advises and consults with all facilities staff and serves as master planner for future county growth.
Examples Of Work Performed
Examples of work performed :
- Serves as consultant for all County departments and elected officials
- Performs existing and future building needs assessments
- Coordinates with Facilities Planner and Building Systems Engineer on current issues to develop scope and budgets for future projects
- Plans and budgets Capital Improvement Project and Facility Enhancement requests
- Develops construction drawings and specifications for in-house County facility remodels, repairs, and improvements
- Develops county construction standards and specifications
- Develops design and construction solicitations and evaluates proposals and qualifications
- Negotiates, develops, and manages contracts with design consultants and contractors
- Coordinates with architects, engineers, elected officials, county staff, and agencies in planning, design, estimating, and construction of building projects
- Reviews and approves all consulting firm pay applications, schedules, etc.
- Supervises and directs all Project Managers, the Building Systems Engineer, and the County Planner
- Performs personnel management, including hiring, firing, termination, employee recognition, disciplinary action, and training
- Conducts annual performance evaluation and makes pay recommendations
- Leads project status update meetings
- Attends meetings and trainings, as required
- Performs special duties as assigned

Bachelor's degree and seven (7) years of professional architectural design experienceTwo (2) years of supervisory experienceWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat and Photoshop, Revit, and AutoCADLicenses And Certifications
