Welder On 3rd Shift
$20 - 26 / hr. $2 Shift Differential
Will train on days and then move to 3rd shift, Monday - Thursday 8p-6a, OT on Friday.
Essential Job Functions
- Proficient in assigned welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, and stick welding
- Interpretation of mechanical drawings, including weld requirement symbols
- Knowledge of wire and filler materials applications for various steel alloys, aluminum, and some exotic materials
- Working knowledge of fixturing and weld set up parameters (amps, volts, etc.)
- Conventional and precision measuring instruments
- Process inspection, certification, and documentation
- Welding equipment maintenance
- Finish grinding applications using manual and power tools
- Safety and Housekeeping
- Requires good attendance and punctuality
- Other duties as assigned by the area supervisor
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Successful completion of an internal welding test, and the ability to achieve certificationBluco or Fitting experience strongly preferredCommunicates effectively both verbally and in writingGood math and measurement skillsAbility to read and understand engineering drawingsAbility to manage several projects simultaneouslyAble to bend, reach, push, pull and put parts into positions for weldingAble to lift 50-lbs. frequently and 100-lbs. occasionally from a floor or bench level to a welding table or fixtureEducation and Experience
High School diploma, or equivalentOne year experience in various forms of welding, preferably in a job shop environmentPhysical Requirements

The majority of the time will be inside conditions with protection from weather conditions, but not necessarily from temperature changes. Some work is outside working conditions with no control over weather conditions.There are high noise levels and vibration associated with this job.
