JCW has partnered with leading provider of insurance, risk management, and data-driven solutions dedicated to the housing industry, to identify a Senior Data Architect to lead the strategy, design, and evolution of their enterprise data platform. This is a hybrid role based in the Cheshire, CT area.
This individual will own the enterprise data architecture roadmap, guide data modeling standards, strengthen governance and security practices, and enable high-quality analytics across the business. Youll partner closely with Application, Infrastructure / Cloud, Cybersecurity, and business teams while shaping the data platforms long-term scalability and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and evolve the enterprise data architecture roadmap and reference architectures (warehouse, lakehouse).
- Own canonical models, dimensional designs, and integration standards across pipelines.
- Establish data governance, quality, lineage, and security practices.
- Collaborate with Infrastructure / Cloud to guide reliability, observability, and cost optimization.
- Enable high-quality analytics and a governed Power BI semantic layer for self-service use cases.
Qualifications
5+ years in data architecture or data engineering roles with hands-on SQL and modeling expertise.Strong experience with Azure data services (Synapse, Data Factory, Data Lake) and modern data patterns (ELT / ETL, lakehouse).Proven ability to design scalable analytics / data models and optimize performance.Experience with data governance, security (RBAC, encryption), and change control.Prior background supporting insurance data domains is highly preferred but not required.If this sounds like you feel free to apply!
