Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose Supports the solid organ transplant program by providing assistance to the Transplant Coordinators. Ensures smooth and efficient office operations. Assists with triaging patient and provider phone calls, accurately updates patient medical records through result entry and documentation. Assists with scheduling, canceling and rescheduling patient appointments and provides patients with schedule for upcoming appointments. Maintains coordinator call schedule. Request, retrieves, and sends medical records. Responsibilities Handles telephone calls from patients and staff; forwards calls requiring triage. Performs complete and correct data entry of necessary information. Ensures compliance with regulatory guidelines. Schedules patient visits; works multiple points of the service area; verifies insurance, checks insurance eligibility, and collects patient demographics; maintains proficiency in insurance basics, to include the ability to recognize commercial and government plans.
