Systems Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our team within the Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-UAS) Product Office International Directorate. The ideal candidate will provide engineering support to facilitate and execute system development, procurement, and deployment.
Location : Huntsville, AL
Pay Rate : 100k - 160k a year
Key Responsibilities
- Program Portfolio Reviews : Conduct reviews to evaluate and recommend alternative plans, improve systems engineering programs and processes, manage the program technical baseline, and design and perform system-level tests to ensure alignment with approved specifications.
- Program Reviews : Assess alternative proposed plans, systems engineering programs, designs, and test results to ensure subsystem and system performance meet program specifications.
- Technical Support and Training : Provide system and program engineering, technical support, and technical training for initiatives including acquisition, development, integration, sustainment, deployment, installation, and operations oversight.
- Material Solution Analysis : Assist with material solution analysis, technology development, engineering and manufacturing development, production and deployment, and operations and support.
- Version and Configuration Control : Support engineering technical and management processes associated with version and configuration control.
- Technical Documentation : Prepare technical documents that define, specify, and recommend system and subsystem characteristics.
- Technical Recommendations : Provide technical recommendation support services, including reviews, studies, audits, evaluations, analyses, scientific and procedural guidance, and documentation.
- System Validation : Perform validation of systems, including development of criteria and procedures, and analyze and evaluate results of major engineering systems.
- Trade Studies : Conduct formal trade studies based on performance, effectiveness, cost-effectiveness, life cycle cost, productivity, reliability, maintainability, risk, and schedule.
- Requirements Analysis : Review and analyze system concepts and user requirements that have been approved and entered into the system requirements baseline.
- Concepts and Requirements Support : Provide support services for concepts and requirements analyses, including review and analysis of various capability documents and assessments.
- Technical Reviews and Assessments : Assist with the planning and execution of technical reviews and assessments, such as System Requirements Review and Technology Readiness Assessment.
- Documentation Development : Support the development of associated documentation, including Systems Engineering Plans and Risk Management Plans.
Required Qualifications / Skills
Active DoD Secret security clearance.Experience in planning, preparing, and executing test plans (validation and verification activities).Experience in developing information papers and decision briefings.Experience with requirements management.Experience with radar, Electromagnetic Warfare, or kinetic defeat.Education
Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline with 3-10 years of direct experience.US Citizen with an active Secret or Top-Secret Security Clearance.Previous experience in an Army Program Office Engineering Team is preferred.
