This hands-on leadership role requires a true builder with advanced carpentry skills and the ability to coordinate subcontractors, maintain site schedules, and ensure premium-quality craftsmanship from foundation to finish. Learn more at Key Responsibilities- Serve as the on-site lead, managing day-to-day operations of active remodeling projects- Coordinate schedules, deliveries, subcontractors, and daily site goals- Lead layout, framing, cabinetry, finish work, millwork, doors / windows, and specialty installations- Perform and direct advanced rough and finish carpentry with precision and care- Set standards for craftsmanship and mentor junior carpenters- Supervise and coordinate subcontractors to ensure quality, scope adherence, and timelines- Conduct quality checks and flag potential issues early- Act as the primary site contact for homeowners and design professionals- Manage material deliveries, storage, staging, and accurate measurements- Enforce safety standards and OSHA protocols on-site- Maintain daily logs and documentation via Buildertrend or similar project software- Support site inspections, closeout tasks, and jobsite cleanliness Qualifications- 5+ years of experience in residential remodeling, with both carpentry and site leadership- Mastery in framing, millwork, finish carpentry, and architectural plan reading- Strong organization and communication skills- Experience managing subcontractors and directing field crews- Tech-savvy with mobile apps and jobsite documentation tools- Valid driver's license and dependable transportation Benefits- Performance Bonuses (Quarterly)- Paid Time Off (Vacation, Holidays, Sick Days)- Bi-Weekly Pay Cycle- Medical Insurance- Paid Training & Certifications- Personal Tool Replacement Program- Mileage Reimbursement- Company-Provided Uniforms- Tech Package (Smartphone or Tablet)- Company Events Schedule- Monday to Friday - Full Time- (Some flexibility may be needed for project demands) Location- On-site projects throughout the Chicagoland area.
