- This requisition's current PO is funded through 6 / 30 / 25, so use that date in the RTR. Contract end date is dependent on the final schedule and projected needs. Historically additional funding should then last a year and occur from 7 / 1 / 25-6 / 30 / 26.
- The method of interview is Round 1 virtual via Teams, then Round 2 in-person at The Keystone Building.
In summary, the project is software that PennDOT will be taking over from a vendor. The application was written in Ruby on Rails and was running on AWS. PennDOT wants to port it over to .NET and run it on Azure. PennDOT will need a developer with Ruby on Rails experience that will help with translating and rewriting the application on the new platform.

Candidates will work under the direction of the project s Technical Lead and Application Architect to analyze, write, test, and document code to implement system features and enhancements to convert an Amazon Web Services (AWS) to Azure cloud.

Work hours are Monday Friday, 8 : 30am 5 : 00pm excluding state holidays for a maximum of 40 hours / week. Lunch is 12 : 00 12 : 30. The contract assumes an additional 80 hours of unpaid leave in addition to the above per state fiscal year.Work location is majority remote; however, selected candidates will be required to report IN PERSON for an interview at PennDOT s offices at 400 North Street, 5th floor, Harrisburg PA. Engaged candidates will also need to report IN PERSON to pick up equipment as part of onboarding and may be required to report for occasional in-person meetings or training.Selected candidates must provide a completed PATCH check and work authorization done at vendor expense prior to engagement.On-site work location is a secured floor. Engaged candidates must bring a check or money order for $20 payable to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania on the first day work to pay for a badge.The agency does not provide parking.
