POSITION SUMMARY :

This non-clinical position is responsible for monitoring the physician's office schedules and for placing patients in exam rooms in a timely, efficient, and organized manner. Coordinates with other departments for any necessary testing or follow-up appointments that the physician requires during or after the patient is seen.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES :

  • Stocks patient exam rooms and provider workspace with necessary supplies.
  • Checks the schedule for each following day to prep provider workspace as necessary.
  • Responsible for checking the physician's folders and distributing items.
  • Maintains and stocks the back-office area and samples closets.
  • Ensures all exam rooms are prepped and cleaned for each patient.
  • Responsible for plugging in and powering off laptops at the end of each clinic day.
  • Ensures provider areas operate and run smoothly on a day-to-day basis.
  • Coordinates with CCI Coordinator to keep patient flow organized and efficient.
  • Assists other back-office departments with patients and other non-clinical tasks
  • Updates Reps phone numbers and ensures they are accurate.
  • Maintains clean and clutter-free work area.
  • Other duties as assigned per the need of the organization and within scope of position.

Position Requirements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES :

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced-environment and work well under pressure.
  • Ability to multi-task while meeting deadlines and time constraints.
  • Ability to work effectively with others.
  • EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE :

  • Highschool Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience working in a medical or healthcare facilities preferred.
  • Experience working in an Electronic Medical Records system preferred.
  • Experience working in a Cardiology office preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills and detail oriented.
