Description
The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases & Geographic Medicine, is seeking applicants for a faculty position at the Assistant Professor level and above. The primary roles and responsibilities will be focus on inpatient and outpatient clinical care and consultation in Infectious Diseases at Parkland Medical Center, including HIV ID services (teaching and non-teaching) at Parkland ACCESS Clinic and general ID care at the Infectious Diseases Clinic. Applicants will also provide support for UT Southwestern University Hospital general ID inpatient services. Successful candidates will also be expected to develop an academic career with a focus in patient-oriented outcomes or education for a wide arrange of learners from medical students to residents and fellows.
Qualifications
Applicants must have an M.D. degree, or equivalent, from an approved LCME medical school, and have satisfactorily completed an Internal Medicine residency program, and an Infectious Diseases fellowship program, from an ACGME accredited program. Candidates must be eligible for Texas medical licensure and be board-certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases.
