Job Description & Requirements Specialty : SICU - Surgical Intensive Care Discipline : RN Start Date : 12 / 15 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours Employment Type : Travel Travel RN - SICU - Boston, MA Assignment Length : 13 weeks Start Date : December 15, 2025 End Date : March 14, 2026 Shift : 12-hour Day / Night Rotating (7 : 00 PM - 7 : 30 AM / 7 : 00 AM - 7 : 30 PM) Hours : 36 hours / week Weekends : Every other weekend required Experience Requirements : 2-3 years of recent SICU experience required Level 1 trauma experience required Experience with surgical ICU patient populations including : Transplant Hepatobiliary General surgery Epic experience required Certifications Required : BLS (AHA) ACLS (AHA) Unit Details : 8-bed SICU Patient ratios 1 : 1-1 : 3 depending on acuity High-acuity surgical population; must be comfortable managing rapidly evolving clinical conditions Position Overview : The SICU RN will care for diverse, high-acuity surgical patients in a Level 1 trauma environment. Rotating 12-hour shifts (days and nights) are required, along with every-other-weekend coverage. Candidates must have strong trauma, critical care, and surgical ICU backgrounds, with confidence managing complex transplants and major surgical cases.
