Your Role :

As a Cash Applications Specialist , you will play a crucial role in our Management Services Organization (MSO), focusing on the payment posting process. Your responsibilities include processing and posting deposits, payments, denials, and adjustments while ensuring accuracy and compliance with established protocols.

This position offers a hybrid schedule, requiring you to work two days in our San Marcos, CA office and three days from home.

Key Responsibilities :

Independently manage payment preparation and posting.

Track and log payment batches accurately.

Organize payments, ensuring correct grouping and identification of invoices.

Post payments, denials, and adjustments to invoices, maintaining adherence to protocols.

Perform detailed reconciliations of batches.

Conduct research on payments that require further clarification and resolve issues in a timely manner.

Review billing statements for corrections.

Assist with records maintenance and follow up on outstanding items.

Support additional tasks as directed by your supervisor.

What We Are Looking For :

High School Diploma / GED or equivalent experience.

1-2 years in office, operations, customer service, or healthcare settings.

Preferred Qualifications :

Experience with payment posting (6+ months desired).

Familiarity with medical reimbursement practices and coding (CPT, ICD-9 / 10).

The annual salary for this role ranges from $38,000 to $63,000, depending on various factors.
