Locum Tenens Physician - Surgery - Trauma

Shift : Weekdays 7 : 00 AM 4 : 00 PM; three weeknights 4 : 00 PM 7 : 00 AM; two 24-hour weekend shifts

Start Date : ASAP

End Date : Until full-time provider is hired

Position Details :

Patient Population : Primarily adult and geriatric, occasional pediatric / adolescent

Setting : Hospital (Level 1 Trauma Center)

Responsibilities : Trauma surgery coverage including weekday shifts, weeknights, and weekends

Required Procedures :

Adult & geriatric trauma cases

Penetrating and blunt trauma

Chest tube insertion

Laparoscopic appendectomy

Laparoscopic cholecystectomy

EMR System : Epic

Support Staff : Full OR staff

Days Per Month : Varies (coverage for 1 week at a time)

On-Call / Weekends : Yes 3 weeknights / week and 2 weekend 24-hour shifts

Submission Requirements :

Board Certified REQUIRED

Fellowship Trained REQUIRED

Active CT License REQUIRED (may consider exceptions)

ACLS REQUIRED

Local Candidates Preferred (Only mileage reimbursed)

DEA Verbal confirmation required at name clear
