job_description.job_card.job_descriptionBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent 3 to 5 years’ work experience delivering BI solutions 3+ years involved hands-on experience with IBM Cognos 10 or 11 report development 3+ years involved hands-on experience doing IBM Cognos 10 or 11 metadata modeling 3+ years involved hands-on experience with IBM Cognos 10 or 11 BI administration 3+ years with reporting data sources from relational databases like SQL Server Understanding and experience with both Dimensional and Relational data sources Strong verbal and written communication skills are particularly important in order to work effectively with all members of the project team Additional assets : Salesforce, SSIS ETL development, SQL, scripting (JavaScript, Batch etc.), SharePoint
Location : Boston
The BI Developer will be a member of the team that delivers the Enterprise Business Intelligence program to the various lines of business, for our fast-paced Financial Services client.
Responsibilities :
- Work with cross-functional groups to understand reporting requirements and solution design
- Translate project requirements into functional and non-functional specifications for BI reports
- Design, develop and maintain BI reports consistent with the standards of the EBI program
- Create and enact suitable test plans for these developments
- Install, configure and administer the related applications
- Monitor, tune up and administer BI Environments for quality and optimal performance
